| Remote Access Solution |
PcAnywhere, GotoMyPc, LogMeIn, RemoteOps, VNC or similar is required. The remote access solution used must allow us to control the back office computer, transfer data and print reports remotely in our office.
To perform the integration and to ensure internal quality standards, Managed Data Group requires an ‘always on,’ reliable remote access to each store's back office of the POS along with POS pass codes. Managed Data Group also requires remote access to the computer(s) where the dinePoint™ upload component is installed. |
| IP Address |
Static IP Address or Static DNS resolution to a dynamic IP is required.
In order for us to provide support, troubleshooting and quality assurance, you must have a static IP address or a static DNS resolution to a dynamic IP. If your IP address is dynamic, it changes from time to time and that could prevent us from connecting remotely.
If you do not already have a static IP address or a DNS resolution, you can establish a DNS resolution for free. Several sites provide free DNS resolution services, including
www.no-ip.com and www.dyndns.com. These sites work by allowing you to assign a name to your IP address instead of the long list of numbers defining it now. This keeps your information secure and allows us to provide a high level of support and service. |
| Notification |
Once Managed Data Group has completed a system integration, any changes to a store's POS database configuration or hardware/network configuration must be communicated to Managed Data Group prior to the change being made to avoid support charges. |
